  Ngozi Ezeonu is one Nollywood actress who has remained relevant and influential over the years in the Nigerian movie industry. She is often regarded as the Big Mummy of Nollywood because she has been in the industry for decades.

She always plays the role of a good mother, Royal Queen, Mother-in-law and Housewife in several Nollywood movies. She has been a star actress since she joined the Nigerian movie industry in 1993. She gained more popularity after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Nneka the Pretty Serpent” a movie produced by Zeb Ejiro. 

In 2007, Ngozi Ezeonu received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the African Movie Academy Awards for Most Accomplished Actress in Nigeria. The actress won the Lifetime Achievement Award for the Most Accomplished Actress in Nigeria at the 2007 African Movie Academy Awards. She has often been described as one of the best actresses of her generation and also one of Nigeria’s most famous actresses.
